In November 2006, I switched to a new broadband service called WiMaxOn December 31, 2008 AT&T decided to drop this service. I now have DSL, a much faster service. It's now Jan 2009 & the DSL is the best I've ever had. Now streaming videos do not jump & glitch & burp. This was a new experimental service available only 2 places from AT&T. There may be other providers other places, but here in pahrump, the provider was AT&T.Some of the advantages were speed, portability and price. Speed became an issue as the service progressed & for the last year, it was way too slow. Portability was the reason I kept it. I could take it from home to work daily and only required one service. Now that's gone & I have DSL at home & dial up at work. You
can read some technical info at http://www.wimax.com/ Click here to read about bandwidth testing. See this page to learn about my new DSL service. |
