Tour of FMS Computer Training

You're invited to take a guided tour of this training site. Now that we have over 100 pages of information and printing takes over 300 sheets, this tour will provide a well rounded tour of using your computer.

The general areas we will cover include the following subjects:

Hardware - What a computer is and how it works.

Windows - The operating software that runs the computer and makes all the other software work.

Software - What makes a computer do the jobs it does.

Internet - Making good use of this tool.

Maintenance - Keeping the computer functioning and avoiding problems.

Start by reading the general pages linked to each of the subjects above. Right click on each link and choose "Open in New Window". With the secondary window open, you can follow any links you like and when you are through, just close that window and you will return to this window.

As you browse, place each page into a Favorite. Make a new folder just for this training site and then a new subfolder for each category. Click here for instructions on organizing Favorites.
